Pune is gifted in terms of places to conduct picnic with your peeps because it is flooded with most amazing landscapes one can imagine. Here is a list of a few Picnic spots worth taking a look at:
- Panchgani: Approximately 100 km away from Pune, this is place offers an amazing scenic beauty. Situated at the foot of five hills, the weather is always pleasant.
A couple of famous viewpoints here are Parsi point, Sydney point and Devil’s Kitchen. Apart from being a feast to the eyes, Panchgani also offers the visitors the sport of para sailing that can be enjoyed by all age groups alike.
- Mahabaleshwar: A few kilometres ahead of Panchgani is this wonderful picnic spot named Mahabaleshwar. It is particularly known for Wilson Point which is the highest sunrise point. Ideal for trekkers and nature lovers alike, it is blissful place to spend your summer in.

- Malshej Ghat: Home to numerous waterfalls and streams, Malshej Ghat is located near the Western Ghats. Its distance from Pune is almost 140 km which takes approximately 2:30 hours to reach here.
Apart from being a trekking destination, various forts and caves also appeal to the ones visiting this place. The exotic Flamingo birds are also found in the habitat.
